  • ABTRACT This study aims to determine whether or not the influence of the image streaming model on the ability to write text descriptions of class VII students of Palembang State Srijaya Middle School. In this study using quasi-experimental. The study sample consisted of two classes, one class as an experimental class, namely class VII.B which amounted to 35 students with treatment using the streaming image model and one class as a control class namely class VII.C which amounted to 33 students with treatment using conventional models. The data collection technique uses test techniques and data processing techniques using the t-test through the SPSS 24 program. The results showed that there were differences in test results between the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class obtained an average pretest score of 65.69 and the average value of the control class pretest was 60.42. The average value of the post-test experimental class 77.74 and the mean value of the post-test control class 64.58. From the two results, the data shows that there was an increase in the experimental class of 12.05 while the control class was 4.16. The results of t-test calculations that prove that t count> t table = (7.050)> t table (1.997>) with a level of df 66 at a success rate of 95% (α = 0.025). This shows that the ability to write description text in the experimental class has increased. Therefore, the streaming image model influences the ability to write description text in class VII students of SMP Srijaya Negara Palembang.
