  • This study aims to determine the relationship between empathy and job satisfaction on nurse in Prabumulih hospital. The hypothesis of this study that there is a relationship between empathy and job satisfaction on nurse in Prabumulih hospital. The subject of this study were 131 nurses, with 40 nurses in X Hospital and 91 nurses in Y Hospital. This study used quota sampling technique. Empathy and job satisfaction was measured by scale of empathy from Baron and Byrne and scale of job satisfaction from Luthans. The result was analyzed using Pearson Product Moment correlation. The result of analysis obtained by value of p = 0,028 (p < 0,050), which showed that there is a significant relationship between empathy and job satisfaction. The correlation value (r) is 0,192, was showed a positive correlation.Therefore hypothesis in this study was accepted.
