  • This study aims to develop an Alphabet Board Game Tool to stimulate the ability to read the beginning that is tested valid and practical. The research object of group B children in TK IT Islahul Ummah with the subject in the form of alphabet board games. This development uses the Rowntree development model and formative evaluation of Tessmer. The technique of collecting data using the walkthrough is expert review and observation. Calculation of material validity is 87% with very valid categories, consisting of content validity and construct validity. While the media validity obtained a percentage of 77% with valid categories consisting of aspects of design, presentation, and aesthetics. From the results of the expert review stage validation, the average percentage was 82% with a very valid category. In the one-to-one evaluation phase, the percentage is 85% with a very practical category. The small group evaluation stage obtained a percentage of 91% with a very practical category. To see the practicality of the game, the average percentage of one to one evaluation and small group evaluation was 88% with a very practical category. Therefore the alphabet board game tool fulfills the valid and practical educational game tools, so that it can be used in learning to stimulate the ability to read the beginning.
