  • One of the principles of planning an earthquake resistant structural system is to add a shear wall in the moment bearing frame system. The shear wall is a component intended to resist shear forces, moments and axial forces generated by the earthquake. Proper configuration of the shear wall can reduce horizontal drift that occurs and can provide the horizontal load resistance required. Some previous studies showed that shear wall gives different performance based on its configuration in a structure. In this paper, lateral static equivalent and pushover analysis will be carried out to analyse the structures. The reinforced concrete structure is analyzed in three dimensions using finite element based software. The model has 10 stories with a plan of 12 m x 28 m with a height of 38,7 m. The structure is made into 4 models, Model 1 to Model 4, with different shear wall configuration for each model. The results are observed by comparing the displacement and performance level. Based on the analysis, Model 3 gives the best performance with displacements of 0,209 m (X-direction) B-and 0,210 m (Ydirection). The performance level for each models is B-IO.
