- This research entitled "Kemaro Island During the PKI Rebellion in Palembang, South Sumatra in 1965-1967 (Contribution of Material in South Sumatra Courses)" The problem raised was how the condition of Kemaro Island and the state of political prisoners during the PKI rebellion in Palembang, South Sumatra in 1965-1967. It has a purpose to find out the condition of Kemaro Island in 1965-1967 and to find out the condition of the people of Kemaro Island in 1965-1967. The research method used is historical and research steps, namely heuristics, source criticism, data interpretation and historiography. The results of this study were to discuss the condition of Kemaro Island during the PKI rebellion in Palembang which was functioned as a political prisoner camp by the Palembang City Government in 1965-1967 to hold sympathizers and PKI members from Palembang and other cities such as Lampung, Bengkulu and Bangka.
