KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS PESERTA DIDIK LINTAS MINAT KELAS ILMU-ILMU SOSIAL (IIS) MELALUI PENERAPAN MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) PADA PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI SMA

- This study aims to determine the critical thinking skills of students across the interests of the IIS class through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in biology learning. The study used pre experimental design one group pretest posttest with purposive sampling technique. The data analyzed in the form of the results of the initial test and the final test on the question of critical thinking skills, by analyzing the data using SPSS 25. Methods of data collection in the form of test critical thingking skills, questionnaires response observation activities during the learning activities. The results showed that there was an increase in students' critical thinking skills in each indicator based on successive gain values (simple explanation 12, basic skills 5, concluded 28.5, further explanation 26, strategy and tactics 14). The average value of the initial test and the final test obtained the n-gain value of 0.47 or the medium category. Based on the results of the t-test analysis it can be concluded that the PBL model has a significant effect on improving students' critical thinking skills across interests.
