- The increasing interest of the public in the field of sports pushed the island government of Bangka Belitung province also plans to build a sports center complex. Inside the Sahabuddin Sports Center Complex, the writer tried to plan and design a multifunctional building which combined on volleyball stadium sites, shopping centers, and athlete’s dormitories. Because of limited area and apart of it has been built with others function. On the other hand, the location of the Sahabuddin sports center is far from the public-centered such as shopping centers or hotels. The issue of design is how to plan and design a volleyball stadium, shopping center and athlete's dormitory into one building on the Sahabuddin Sports Center Area in the islands of Bangka Belitung province? The method used is architectural design with a sustainable architectural approach. The results obtained, namely multifunctional buildings with a sustainable architectural approach, which is applied to the material system, one of which is glass that uses solar windows. Then there is also lighting and airing which is supported by a grid which functions as a wall so that it can become an entry and exit path into the building. Also, there’s control sunlight by providing secondary skin on the exterior of the building.
