ESTIMASI KELIMPAHAN PLANKTON MENGGUNAKAN METODE HIDROAKUSTIK DI SEBAGIAN PERAIRAN ESTUARI PESISIR TIMUR BANYUASIN

- Banyuasin regency is one of the districts in South Sumatera Province, has great potential of fishery and marine resources, fishery resource potential of Banyuasin Regency covers capture fisheries (sea and public waters).The purpose of this research is to determine the types of plankton in sungsang waters and detect plankton’s distribution and density in sungsang waters with hidroakustik method using scientific echosounder simrad ek15 single beam single frequency 200khz instrument and using plankton net for sampling. the data will be processed by using the software of echoview 4.8 arcgis 10.1 and microsoft excel. the result showed that there are 20 genus of phytoplankton and 5 genus of zooplankton. genus who has the highest abundance on phytoplankton is Chaereceros sp and Acartia sp for zooplankton. The estimation of density in the area of plankton abundance ranges from 0-800 ind/nmi2. In addition the estimation of volume density ranges from 0-400 ind/m3.
