- The research objective was to analyze the tool and farm machinery requirement and investment cost for purchasing tool and farm machinery at Musi Banyuasin. The research was conducted from June to July 2019 at Dinas Tanaman Pangan, Hortikultura dan Peternakan Kabupaten Musi Banyuasin, UPTD Tanaman Pangan, Hortikultura dan Peternakan Kabupaten Musi Banyuasin and Gapoktan in each sub-district at Musi Banyuasin. The methods used in this research were descriptive-quantitative method, for primary data collection using survey techniques and interviews. Four wheel drive, rice transplanters, combine harvesters, box dryer, and rice milling unit are the least available so they need to add more units. The distribution of pumps and sprayers is not evenly distributed, where there are deficiency sub-districts, while in other sub-districts the level of sufficiency is excessive. Lalan is sub-district with the most rice production land area 79.463 hectare and rice production 325.177/year and also deficiency of the tool and farm machinery requirement with average level only 12,12%.
