BIODEKOLORISASI ZAT WARNA CONGO RED DAN LIMBAH INDUSTRI TEKSTIL MENGGUNAKAN BAKTERI BACILLUS CEREUS
Daftar Isi:
- Biodecolorization of congo red dyes and textile industry wastewater using Bacillus cereus had been carried out. The decolorization percentage of congo red and textile industry wastewater showed that B. cereus is able to decolorize the congo red and textile industry wastewater with decolorization percentage up to 82,23% and 87,95% respectively. Determination of optimum conditions was carried out by five variables i.e shaking treatment, time, initial concentration of congo red, pH, and temperature. Decolorization congo red by B. cereus was optimum under without shaking conditions, decolorization time for 24 hours, initial concentration of congo red was 80 mg/L, pH 7, and incubation temperature of 37°C with decolorization percentage up to 87,16%. Qualitative analysis of thin layer chromatography and UV spectrum data shows that biodegradation occurs in the decolorization of congo red but doesn’t occurs in the decolorization of wastewater.
