KOMUNIKASI PERSUASIF LEMBAGA SINERGI SRIWIJAYA DALAM MENARIK MASYARAKAT BERZAKAT

- This study entitled "Persuasive Communication of the Sriwijaya Synergy Institute in Attracting the Interest of the Zakat Community". The purpose of this study was to find out how the persuasive communication process occurs in the collection of zakat. This research is motivated by the large potential of zakat in South Sumatra and its correlation with the high poverty rate in the city of Palembang. Zakat as a means of cleansing property is useful to help the economy and welfare of people in need. Sinergi Sriwijaya as a zakat management institution has a function to collect the zakat. The communication carried out by Sinergi Sriwijayaas a zakat processing institution had the task to invite the community to help those in need. This research used descriptive qualitative method and descriptive data types. Data collection techniques used were in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The research used the Information Processing theory (Information Processing McGuire: 1968) which consists of 6 indicators namely Presentation, Attention, Comprehension, Yielding, Retentation, and Overt Behavior. The results showed that the persuasive message about zakat was delivered by Sinergi Sriwijaya , then the recipient would pay attention and understand the contents of the message, then the recipient was affected and realized that zakat was important. At the last stage the recipient of the message will issue zakat according to the conditions set. Keyword : Persuasive Communication, Zakat, Poverty rate
