  • Based on data available at WHO (World Health Organization) estimates the incidence rate worldwide around 17 million people per year, the death rate from typhoid fever to reach 600,000 and 70% occur in Asia. Given the high number of typhoid morbidity and the consequences that will be caused if the disease is not treated immediately so it will be very dangerous for humans and the availability of medical or doctor is also relatively minimal, especially in remote areas. This makes many people find difficulties in early diagnosing typhoid so that medical treatment becomes late even to the serious consequences for patients. So it is necessary to create a system that can diagnose diseases such as an experts. This study aims to build a Typhoid Disease Expert System Using Forward Chaining Method in order to facilitate the process of determining the disease in accordance with the symptoms of the patient. Data collection methods used were observation, interviews, and literature study. Typhoid disease diagnosis expert system produces a website-based information system that has the function of facilitating patients or users in carrying out the process of early diagnosis of typhoid disease. Using the forward chaining method makes it easy for users to determine the diagnostic results, where the final result of the forward chaining process is the most accurate and it is best alternative because based on the validity test or data suitability test it has a high percentage with a value of 93.3%.
