  • Pesticide used can cause heavy metal contamination, one of them is Arsenic. Arsenic in rice causes health problems of the liver, kidneys, cardiovascular, nervous system, digestive system and respiratory system. This researched aimed to examined the risks caused of consumption rice contained Arsenic due to the use of pesticides on agricultural land. This type of researched is descripitif research using the Environmental Health Risk Assessment method. Samples of respondents were taken with purposive sampling method as many as 96 people and rice samples were taken by 9 samples. Rice samples were analyzed using the Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) method to determine the concentration of the arene. This researched showed the average arsenic concentration in rice is 0,01 mk/kg, the average weight of respondents body is 45,74 kg, the intake rate is 0,2 kg, frequency of exposure is 365 days/year and duration of exposure is adjusted to the length of the time respondent lived and consumed rice in Batu Ampar Village. So the results of realtime RQ value is 0,29 and the realtime ECR value is 1,20E+ 04. The conclusion of this result is the RQ and ECR values are still within a safe boundary. However, efforts are still needed so consumption of arsenic containing rice doesnot pose a risk to health by cook rice with reverse osmosis water (RO).
