- The research in this thesis is motivated by the persistence of the problem of not achieving the realization target of less than 50% in the last three years. The percentage of ineffectiveness in this realization is closely related to effectiveness in financial management. Therefore this study aims to determine how the Management of Equipment and Machinery Levies Levies in the Ogan Ilir District Public Works and Spatial Planning Office 2016-2018. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Sources of data obtained are based on primary data through interviews and observations, and secondary data through documents, reports, regulations, newspapers and other sources using the George R.Terry theory which consists of four dimensions, namely Planning, Organizing, Implementing and Monitoring. The results of this study indicate that the Management of Equipment and Machinery Levies Management in the Public Works and Spatial Planning Department is not good because there are still many problems in the field. Such as targets that have not been achieved in the last three years due to the number of equipment and machinery damaged, the number of tenants who have not paid rent for equipment and machinery, the existence of Standard Operating Procedures that are not implemented in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Public Works Number: 585 / KPTS / 1988 Regarding Guidelines for the Use of Tools in the Department of Public Works. Suggestion from this finding is to give strict sanctions to the tenants of equipment and machinery that do not pay and in determining the target of revenue for the future must be more rational, namely by looking at the environment around.
