Students in 2019) This research is motivated by the emergence of social media unrest among students of Middle School (SMP) in using the Instagram application, because there are some negative impacts that arise from the use of the Instagram application, ranging from pornography, bullying, addiction and laziness to learn, as happened in SMPN 46 Palembang there is a new mode of crime with the term grooming. Therefore, the problem formulation arises about how digital media literacy in Palembang 46 State Junior High School Students in 2019. This type of research is descriptive research, with quantitative approach. Research subjects as many as 90 people who arc students of 46 Palembang Junior High School, Data collection by questionnaire. To assess digital media literacy this is done by giving categories namely Advanced, Medium and Basic.
