  • Musculoskeletal disorders disorder is a series of aches/pains in the tendon and nerve muscles, one of the causes is the activity with a high repetition of the worker. The aim of this study analyzed the influence of Workplace Streching Exercise against the decline of MSDs on the blacksmith in Ogan Ilir District in 2019. Workplace Streching Exercise is beneficial to improve the relaxation of physical muscles, by means of bending the muscles of the tense body to be more relaxed and comfortable. The study used a quantitative approach with the design of experimental Quasi research with Control Group Time Series Design. The number of samples was 34 respondents, with 17 control groups and 17 intervention groups in two villages where the blacksmith business existed in Tanjung Batu subdistrict, Ogan Ilir. The data collection tools used are the Nordic Body Map questionnaires. The data analysis used is univariate analysis and Bivariate analysis with statistical test Paired Sample t-test. The results showed that at the test Paired Sample t-test in the control group there was no relation after the treatment of Workplace Streching Exercise with a p-value of 0.704 > 0.05, while in the intervention group there was a relationship after the treatment of Workplace Streching Exercise with a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05 and in the Independent sample t-test analysis results showed that after the Workplace treatment Streching Exercise in both groups has a significant association with a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05 which means that once given the average treatment of MSDs in the lower intervention control group without being given treatment. It can be concluded that in order to reduce the level of MSDs complaints on workers, the Workplace Streching Exercise method should be done regularly before and after working on the iron and the resting breaks in between activities Blacksmith.
