- This research study about “Slum Settlement Restoration as Tourism village in sungai Sekanak 27 Ilir, Palembang City”. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the Restoration Program That is able to provide implications for the people in the colorful village of Sungai Sekanak 27 Ilir. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method, while the number of informants in this study were 6 informants. Data collection techniques are done by observation, Interview, and documentation. This study uses the Functional Structural Theory of Robert K Merton. The results of the study found that the implementation of the Restoration Program in the slums is based on the actions and desires of the community that are appreciated by the Government, so that the implementation of the Restoration Program gives the desired results, and the Restoration Program convers the implementation of mutual assistance activities and the purpose of the slum settlement Program. Then implementation that occur in community life after the Restoration Program is having a positive impact, provide good effects such as changes in social aspects, economic aspects, and environmental aspects in the colorful village communities of 27 Ilir, Palembang City.
