SISTEM PENGENDALIAN WATER PUMP UNTUK MENGATUR TINGGI LEVEL AIR DENGAN ALGORITMA PID PADA PLANT WATER TREATMENT

- One of the procedures used in Plant Water Treatments is level control. The problem that often arises it when the level of water in the storage tank is unknown. Such condition may cause a tank to be overflown or empty due to lack of supervision of the storage tank. Hence, it is necessary to control of the water pump to regulate the water level in the storage tank. To optimize the performance of pump during filling, the PID algorithm is applied to the control system. This controller may optimize the peformance of water pump by adjusting the water level based on the setpoint. The result of the research indicate that optimal parameters for PID are Kp = 0.7, Ki = 0.001, and KD = 2. The use of the PID method makes the process of filling water in the storage tank is faster than without using PID method especially when it heads to the set point. The water pump turns off when it reaches the setpoint and sensor performance can affect the graph of PID.
