- This study examines the "Social Change in Local Communities in the village of Tanjung Payang Lematang River Tourism Lahat". The purpose of this research is to identify the forms of social change in local communities for their Tanjung Attraction Payang Lematang River and to determine the factors that encourage and inhibit the occurrence of social change in the village of Tanjung Payang Travel Lahat regency. The method used in this research using descriptive qualitative method. In determining this research informants using purposive aiming to obtain more detailed information in accordance with research problems. The number of informants in this study were 14 informants. Data collected by observation, interview, and documentation. This study uses the theory of social change from Piotr Sztompka. The results of this study describe the shape of social change and the factors that drive social change. Forms of social change in society Tanjung payang is a change in the interaction, since the attraction of community interaction not only with the local community alone but social interaction is becoming more widespread. mindset, since their attraction into developing the public mindset and get creative, people's attitudes change, since their attraction society becomes more friendly attitude towards the local community and visitors. Economic change is also felt by the village community is increasing livelihood.
