- This research examined phenomenon of thesis jockey services in collegian circle. This research aimed to know caused of collegian interested to use thesis jockey service on doing their final paper and to know how was the mechanism of thesis jockey service at collegian circles on some universities in Jambi City. The method used by researcher was descriptive qualitative. Observation, interview, and documentation were tecniques collective data used by researcher. Theory of rational choice by James S. Coleman was the data analysis tool. The result of this research showed that caused of collegian interesting to use thesis jockey service in doing their paper were they had money, wanted to finish as fast as possible, started from the beginning they weren’t interested with their major. The choices felt by collegian were rational choice that can be used to achieve their goals. Cooperation mechanism established between collegian and thesis jockey service maximized the action that could be taken and did in achieving their goals. Many collegian used thesis jockey service made a new perspective about another alternatives offered by thesis jockey service who were able to form new phenomenon in the lecture and the world of collegian education in Jambi City.
