- This study examined the problems regarding the participation of fire-caring community groups in the prevention and control of forest and land fires. The purpose of this research was how the dynamics of the participation of the fire-caring community groups in the prevention and control of forest and land fires in the village of Cinta Jaya, sub-district of Central Java, Komering Ilir Regency. This research was descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, in-depth interviews and documentation with 10 people who were care about fire. The data collection will be analyzed and arranged systematically. This study used the concept of forms of participation from Hussledrof. The results showed that members of the fire care community group showed that community groups caring for fire had a form of participation in building bonds between members of community groups concerned with fire, involving themselves in group discussions, and mobilizing community resources to participate. The background of the community groups cared about fire in participating, namely the opportunity given to community groups concerned with fire to participate, the willingness of the community to care for the fire to participate, and also the ability of fire-caring community groups to participate in forest fire prevention and control
