- OIL RECOVERY BY USING BIOSURFACTANT OF BACTERIA Bacillus firmus IN VARIATION OF pH, TEMPERATUR AND SALINITY Yuliana Ramaita Siallagan, supervised by Dr. Bambang Yudono, M.Sc. and Dra. Fatma, MS. Department Of Chemistry, Faculty Of Mathematics And Natural Science, Sriwijaya University Scientific papers in the form of an essay, desember 2020 Xi + 74 pages, 14 tables, 13 figures, 24 attachments Recovery tests of petroleum in mud oil using crude biosurfactant and bacterial cell culture of Bacillus firmus with variations in salt content of 0, 1.5, 3, 4.5 and 6%, variations in pH 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 as well as temperature variations of 40, 50, 60, 70, and 80°C. The difference between the final % TPH and TPH before handle is 40.33% and % TPH after being given permission with biosurfactant and Bacillus firmus bacterial cell culture with variations in salt content, pH, and temperature respectively 23.38, 16.19, and 25.03%. The result of statistical test variation in salt content obtained a value of F count is 16.85 and value of F table is 3.48 or F count > F table, on the temperature variation the calculated F count is 5.96 and the F table is 3.48 or F count > F table, so it gives a significant difference in oil recovery. In the pH variation, the calculated F count is 0.83 and the F table is 3.48 or the F count < F table. This shows that it does not have a significant (not significant) effect on oil recovery. Result of GC (Gas Chromatography) qualitatively showed that biosurfactant and bacterial cell cultue with a salt content of 6%, pH 7, and a temperature of 70°C were able to B.firmus degrade and dissolve hydrocarbon compounds and produce new.
