- Swamp land is quite potential in supporting the agricultural sector. Chili plants (Capsicum annuum L.) is a plant that can grow on swamp land. Spodoptera litura is a polyphagic caterpillar that can eats everything both different orders and plant families. S. litura plant pest features are one factor that can reduce crop yields. To control S. litura can use bioinsecticides with active ingredients entomopathogenic fungi that can kill S. litura larvae. Therefore. This study aims to 1) What entomopathogenic fungus bioinsecticides are the most toxic to S. litura. 2) Determine the bioinsecticide with the shelf life that is the most toxic to S. litura larvae. This research has been conducted in the Laboratory Entomology of the Plant Pests and Diseases Department. Plant Protection Study Program. Faculty of Agriculture. Sriwijaya University from August to December 2019. This experiment used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) using 5 treatments with 3 replications and using 25 second instar of S. litura. The results showed the highest mortality in conidia bioinsecticide treatment with a shelf life of 1 month with BKbTp code significantly different from other treatments. LT50 insect larvae were the shortest test (5.45 days). While, the highest mortality of bioinsecticide filtrate treatment in the isolate code BKbTp was significantly different from other treatments. LT50 insect larvae were the shortest test (5.54 days). The highest mortality of conidia bioinsecticide treatment for 2 month shelf life in the BKbTp code was significantly different from other treatments. The shortest larvae are LT50 (7.45 days). The highest mortality of filtrate bioinsecticide treatment In the larvae BKbTp code the shortest (7.04 days) conidia bioinsecticide treatment with the highest shelf life of 3 months mortality in the shortest larvae BKbTp LT50 treatment (5.85 days). The shortest larvae LT50 filtrate treatment (7.09 days). Whereas in the conida bioinsecticide treatment the highest shelf life of 4 months mortality was in the BSwTd 4 code, LT50 larvae were the shortest (7.00 days). The highest filtrate mortality treatment was in the BSwTd 4 code, LT50 larvae were the shortest (6.73 days). Symptoms caused by S. litura larvae are body size shrinking and contracting and discoloration of larvae. Insect mortality began to be discovered after observation 24 hours after application and continues to increase until observation is complete. So from this study it can be concluded that bioinsecticide with BKbTp code is the most toxic and effective bioinsecticide in killing S. litura larvae.
