PENGARUH EFIKASI DIRI ORANG TUA TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK DI SMA N 11 PALEMBANG

- ABSTRACT This research based on the important role of parents' self-efficacy in the education of students. Purpose of this research is to examine the influence of parental self-efficacy on students 'learning achievement and describe the differences in parental self-efficacy seen from parents' formal education levels as graduated of S1, SMA, and SMP. This research was located in SMA N 11 Palembang. The research method used is quantitative research with ex post facto research design. Subjects involved in the study were parents of class XI students with 104 respondents. The researcher used the technique of disproportionate stratified random sampling to determined the number of subjects in the study. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and documentation. The analysis technique used descriptive analysis and simple linear regression. The results showed that parents' self-efficacy from S1 education center on medium category by 73% with an average value 72.8, then the self-efficacy of high school parents center on medium showed by 70% with an average value 72.4, and the self-efficacy of middle school parents center on medium showed by 69% with an average value 72.7. Then the results showed parental self-efficacy instruments showed the greatest aspect centered on the first aspect of the education level of S1 parents’ with an average value and SD 83.6 ± 10.2 greater than average and the elementary school of high school and junior high school parents and the results of hypothesis test indicated that there were influence of parents’ achievement in SMA N 11 Palembang.
