- Abstract: This study aims to describe the form of the relationship between characters and the natural environment in Partikel novel and the novel Api Awan Asap. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The source of data in this study was novel Partikel by Dee Lestari and the novel Api Awan Asap by Korrie Layun Rampan. The results in this study indicate that (1) there is a relationship between characters and the natural environment in the Partikel novel and the Api Awan Asap novel (2) there is damage to the natural environment in the Partikel novel and the Api Awan Asap novel (3) there is an attitude towards the natural environment in the Partikel novel and the Api Awan Asap novel. The results of the study can be implied in the study of literature in high school class XII odd semester of the 2013 curriculum that is in KD 3.8 interpreting the author's view of life in the novel, and KD 4.8 presents the results of interpretations of the views of the author both oral and written.
