  • Cataract is a major cause of blindness in Indonesia. The increasing of health costs is a major problem that makes it difficult for people to get the needed health services. INA CBG's is a case-based on health financing package by grouping various types of services into one unit. The purpose of the study is to analyze the suitability of real costs with INA CBG’s package rates as well as analyze the factors that influence the real cost of cataract surgery patients at Rumah Sakit Khusus Mata in South Sumatra Province. This study uses a Cross Sectional design that uses medical records for Rumah Sakit Khusus Mata in South Sumatra Province in 2018 to patients with cataract surgery hospitalized participants of the National Health Insurance. The writer used univariate analysis and bivariate analysis based on Correlation Test and Mann Whitney Test. The hospital has advantages for cases of cataract surgery because the total real cost of patients in hospital is smaller than the total tariffs for INA CBG's. The difference in total hospital real costs with INA CBG's for the first class inpatient is (+385,000,805), the second class inpatient is (+ Rp. 262,299,525), and the third class inpatient is (+ Rp. 538,233,016) from INA CBG's rates. There is a relationship between the cost component and the real cost of cataract surgery patients as indicated by the value (p-value = 0,000, r = 0.912), which has a very strong relationship. Factors that influence the real cost of cataract surgery patients at Rumah Sakit Khusus Mata in South Sumatra Province are age, length of care, procedure fees, room / accommodation costs, doctor's visit / consultation and medicine. The hospital expected to re-evaluate the calculation of service costs to achieve high efficiency while taking into account the quality of services in the hospital.
