  • This study is a quasi-experimental research that aims to find out how the influence of learning mathematical modeling on the perception of junior high school students in mathematics. The learning process used in accordance with the steps of teaching mathematical modeling and Model-Eliciting Activities. The data-collection technique is done through questionnaires with 21 that can be used in various categories namely the benefits of mathematics in life, confidence, and learning of students. The questionnaire was given at the time before and after learning process. The ANCOVA test was performed to see its effect with previous data having been found to be normal and homogeneous distributed, a significance level of 0.05. Based on the results of the study concluded that learning mathematical modeling has a significant variable on students' mathematical perceptions, mathematical benefits in life, and student comparisons, with each significant value, is 0.008; 0.022; and 0.004. Nevertheless, mathematical modeling is not significantly significant in confidence category with significant value 0,058.
