ANALISIS RESIDU DAN CARA PENGUNAAN PESTISIDA PADA CABAI MERAH (Capsicum annuum L.) DI KECAMATAN AIR SALEK KABUPATEN BANYUASIN

- Chili is one of the horticultural crops grown in Indonesia and has high economic value. In an effort to improve the quality of chili-peppers from the attacking of plant pest and diseases by using chemical pesticides. The application of chemical pesticides can leave residue left behind in plants which can cause health problems. This study aims to determine the pesticide residues contained in red chili according to the Maximum Residue Limit (BMR) based on Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture no 53 PERMENTAN / KR.040/12/2018 and how to use pesticides on red chili farmers. The study was conducted in the chili farmers' land of Air Salek sub-district and residue testing in the laboratory of PT. Saraswati Indo Genetec (SIG), Bogor from September to December 2019. The method used in this study uses primary data and secondary data. The results showed that the use of pesticides that were not in accordance with the 5T principles and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) was inadequate which caused changes in health. The results of the analysis of profenopos residues of the organopospate group and diphenoconazole active ingredient of the triazole group were not detected with residues left in the chili either from the results before or were discarded. The benefits of chilies are suitable for consumption for consumers. Keywords: Chili, Pesticides and Residues
