PENGKAYAAN MEDIA BUDIDAYA BELUT SAWAH (Monopterus albus) DENGAN MEMANFAATKAN AMPAS TAHU
Daftar Isi:
- Asian swamp eel (Monopterus albus) become potential comodity for freshwater cultivation because it has high market demand. Convensionally, muds are common to use as media for asian swamp eel culture. In this experiment, media enrichment were expected able to improve water quality in order to enhance the eel,s growth. The research was conducted from February to March 2019, at Laboratory of experimental pond, Aquaculture Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. A completely Randomized Design (CRD) was used in this study with 4 treatments (T) and 4 replications which was, without enrichment (T0), addition of tofu waste 10% (T1), addition of tofu waste 30% (T2), addition of tofu waste 50% (T3). Some parameters were observed includly absolute body weight, absolute body length, survival rate, temperature, pH of water, dissolved oxygen, soil pH and C organic soil, Asian swamp eel was cultured using soil sandy clay texture with soil pH 4.7-6.4, water pH 5.58-7.40, dissolved oxygen 1.02-2.18 mg L-1 and soil C organik 1.81%. Based on analysis varience it was known that the addition of tofu waste had a significant effect on the absolute growth body weight and body length asian swamp eel and has no significant effect on survival rate. The result revealed that T1 was the best composition for Asian swamp eel culture which had survival rate was 90.63%, absolute growth of length and weight was 1.53 cm and 1.22 gram respectively.
