- This research to describe the form of colonial hegemony which was carries out against the native population and forms of resistance perpetrated by natives. The method that used in this research is descriptive analysis method. The data source was a Kepunan Novel published by Benny Arnas. The analysis techniques used on the basis of postcolonial theory of hegemony and resistance. The result in this research show that (1) Colonial hegemony was demonstrated an attitude of superiority, threatening natives, prohibit worship, discrimination, cruel acts, sexual harassment, feeling inferior, obedient and cowardly natives, dislike of the natives, the colony as the pinnacle of the civilization, the colony who were considered admirable. (2) as a reaction, some indonesian leader to take of resistance others negotiate, invade the colony, despide invaders, disguise, stealing knowledge, stow away, verbal resistance, prohibition of imitating invanders, awaraness of oppression. The result can be implicated to literature learning of 2013 curriculum in the 11th grade in senior high school that is in KD 3.7 analyzed values history, moral, social, and religious in the novel.
