  • The Notary Protocol is a collection of state archive documents that must be saved and maintained by Notaries according to the UUJN Notary that protocol must be saved properly. Is there a specific size standard for the safekeeping of the Notary protocol and in terms of whether the Notary has the authority to keep the Notary protocol that had been 25 years from another Notary or the recipient of the Notary protocol was kept by the recipient of the old Notary protocol with the approval of the Regional Supervisory Council.The theory used in the study is the Theory of authority, Theory of law responsibility, Theory of law certainty, and Theory of supervision. This type of study is an empirical study aimed at examining and interpreting theoretical matters related to principles, doctrines, and legal norms relating to the investigation of the Notary protocol by the Regional Notary Council of Palembang on the good storage size standard of the Notary protocol and practice of Article 63 paragraph 5 of UUJN.The results of this study show that there are no specific standards for the storage size of the Notary protocol. It is according to The Regional Supervisory Council of Palembang. But in the implementation still according to the custom which is the good storage space of Notary protocol should be fire resistant, termite free, safe from flooding and not moist. In terms of storage the Notary protocol which has entered the age of twenty-five years, it cannot be implemented effectively in Palembang because it is not in accordance with the regulation ordered by Article 63 paragraph 5 of UUJN that the existence of storage constraints due to inadequate storage space or the limitations of the Notary protocol storage area. Based on the results of the study, the recommendation that can be given are socialization about the importance of notary protocol storage and the holding of special storage space in the Secretariat of the Regional Supervisory Council and legal regulation that strictly regulate matters related to the notary protocol so that the Notary protocol can be safe from damage.
