  • Songket weaving is one culture that is still preserved in various regions, in South Sumatra. Especially in Ogan Ilir Regency there are sub-districts which still preserve Songket weaving, among others, Indralaya District, West Pemulutan District and Tanjung Batu District. Comparison of craftsman profiles is very used to find out the characteristics between sub-districts. So that it can find out what characteristics affect each sub-district. The variables studied included education, age, years of service income, productivity, work motivation, business motivation, and work culture. The research data is secondary data obtained from irmeilyana et, al (2018) which are in Indralaya District, West Pemulutan District and Tanjung Batu District. Comparison of craftsman profiles using the Two Groups Analysis method, this method compares between two centers based on what factors affect the productivity of artisans, so that in this study will analyze the factors of similarity and dissimilarity in 3 sub-districts. Based on the angle formed between the bisector and sub-groups of 2 in each dimension of comparison, the income and productivity variables determine the similarities between the 2 groups. Reviewed from the two dimensions of comparison, the dominant influence on the similarity is the productivity of P1 and P2 from 3 dimensions. Comparison of the West Pemulutan District with Tanjung Batu District is more similar in terms of age, years of service, and work culture. In terms of profile and character of 3 productivity sub-districts P1, P2, P3 income tends to be similar, while business motivation and work motivation determine the dissimilarity of Tanjung Batu craftsmen with craftsmen in the other two sub-districts.
