PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PENEMUAN TERBIMBING (GUIDED DISCOVERY LEARNING) TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS PESERTA DIDIK KELAS XI SMA SRIJAYA PALEMBANG

- This study aims to obtain information about the influence of guided discovery learning model to the critical thinking skills of students in the elasticity material and Hooke's law. The research was conducted at the State High School Srijaya Palembang. The method used is a quasi-experimental research design with pre-test post-test control group design. The determination of the sample using the technique of random sampling, a sample is class XI MIA 1 as an experimental class and class XI MIA 2 as the control class with the number of students in each class is 35. The learning process in class experiments using a guided discovery learning model and the classroom learning process control using models direct instruction. Data was collected using a critical thinking skills test in the form of eight essays. Data were analyzed using the program Statistical Program For Social Science 24 (SPSS 24), hypothesis testing using the Independent Sample t-test. Through the results of t-test calculation data that has been done, the results of t-test analysis showed t> t table (12.733> 2.036), then Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. It can be concluded that there is an influence of guided discovery learning model on the critical thinking skills of students in class XI MIA SMA Srijaya Palembang.
