UJI KINERJA PANEL SURYA SEBAGAI ENERGI PENGGERAK KIPAS PADA ALAT PENGERING TIPE RAK UNTUK PENGERINGAN RENGGINANG

- The research aimed to understand the performance of solar panel as energy for powered fan on rack type dryer to dry rengginang. This research has been accomplished at Agricultular workshop of Agricultular Faculty at Sriwijaya University, Indralaya in march 2019. Method used in this research was experimental method. This research consisted of three phases, which were preparation and the assembly of polycrystalline solar panel circuits, circuit testing and data completion. The data was presented in the form of graphs and tables. Observation parameters included sunlight intensity, solar panel power, fill factor, solar panel efficiency and the drying rate. Power produced by polycrystalline solar panel to move the fan was between 3,36 watt until 68,73 watt and it produced the range of fan rotation around 1,1 m/s until 3,8 m/s. Result showed that the highest efficiency from polycrystalline solar panel was 8,63 % with the intensity of sunlight was around 1087,04 W/m2. The fastest drying process of rengginang was generated by the first and the fifth test. At 12.00 A.M of Indonesia Western Standard Time, the water content of rengginang has reached 14 %. The fastest drying rate was on rack 1 of the first experiment for 8 hours of drying time was calculated at 2,2 %.
