  • Abstract: This research is a descriptive study to see the application of the Creative Problem Solving learning model application in the learning process and the problem-solving ability in linear programming. This research was conducted at one high school in Palembang with the subject of all students in class XI MIA 5. The researcher used problem-solving questions on the student sheets and test questions. Data collection techniques in this study used the results of student worksheets. Data collection techniques in this study in the form of written pitch and observation. The results of this study indicate that the problem-solving abilities possessed by students in class XI MIA 5 are still classified in the low category with a range of grades 50-59. Based on observations during the learning process descriptors of the Creative Problem Solving learning model have emerged namely descriptors A6: exploring ideas and concepts in answering questions to student worksheet, A7: mentioning solution ideas from a problem solving, A8: evaluating the right ideas to solve problems which shows a good percentage.
