  • Introduction: Vector-based infectious disease is one of the problems that is often found in tropical countries such as Indonesia. Community knowledge, attitudes and practice are believed to have an influence on vector eradication. This study aims to determine the association of knowledge, level attitudes, and practice of the community with the amount of Aedes spp. larvae in water reservoirs on Komplek Pertamina Plaju Palembang. Methods: The study was an observational analytic study with a cross-sectional design. Data obtained from observation results of water shelter type, mosquito larva type, mosquito larva index mosquito larva, the level of knowledge, attitudes, and practice gained from interviews with questionnaires and their association with the amount of Aedes spp. larvae that analyzed using the SPSS application. Result: From 158 water Shelters (TPA), 128 TPA (81%) Located indoors and 30 TPA (19%) located outside the room. A total of 4 TPA indoors and 7 outdoor landfill with mosquito larva. The type of mosquitoes and the amount of larvae found were Aedes aegypti (12 larvae), Aedes albopictus (13 larvae), Culex sp. (2 larvae). The mosquito larva index value obtained ABJ 89.04%, HI 10.96%, CI 6.96%, BI 15.06%, and DF 3. From statistical test results, the knowledge variables (p= 0,116) attitudes (p= 0,539) and practice (p= 0.495) of the community had no average difference with the amount of Aedes spp larvae. Conclusion: There was no average difference between knowledge, attitudes and practice of the community with the amount of Aedes spp larvae.
