- Krakatoa (Krakatau) is one of Indonesia’s active volcano. Its existence is both a potential attraction (for tourism) and also a threat for people that inhabit sumatera and java islands, especially that near it. Because of that, there is a need in building a museum as an educational place for the people to tell the history of the Krakatoa Volcano. The Museum’s site is choosed based on the area that have a direct view of Krakatoa Volcano. Also, the site is located beside the main sumatera road (lintas sumatera) and can make it as an icon of the area. The museum accommodate several function, such as education, recreation, and conservation. With good space organizing that is arranging the exhibition space based on the historical plot of Krakatoa Volcano. By doing that, the visitors hoped can get the historical plot from ground floor that is general introduction of geopark to the third floor about Krakatoa Volcano specifically. The building’s shape is determined using analogical concept from the Krakatoa itself. As such the museum building is hoped can be an attraction on the site.
