PERKEMBANGAN PENYAKIT VIRUS PADA TANAMAN CABAI (Capsicum annuum L.) YANG DIBERI PERLAKUAN PRIMING BENIH MENGGUNAKAN EKSTRAK FERMENTASI
Daftar Isi:
- Diseases caused by viruses on chili plants can cause a decrease in the quantity and quality of production. The virus causes the growth and development of chili plants to be disrupted. This research aims to determine the effect of fermentation extract on the development of virus diseases, on the growth and yield of chilli plants. This research was conducted three times the experiment which was arranged in factorial completely randomized design. Experiments in germination consisted of 7 treatments of fermentation extract priming and 3 treatments of chili varieties, experiments in the nursery consisted of 7 treatments of fermentation extract priming and 2 treatments of varieties of chili, field trials consisted of 6 treatments of fermentation extract and 3 treatments of varieties of chili. Seed priming using fermented extract did not significantly affect germination, maximum growth potential and simultaneity of seed growth in varieties of F1 Lado, Rantau Alai and West Sumatra. Seed priming using fermented extract has no effect on disease attack and plant growth in the nursery of varieties F1 Lado and Rantau Alai. Seed priming followed by spraying fermented extracts containing tannins (formulation N) influences the development of viral diseases as indicated by the low value of the broad field of disease development curve. Seed priming followed by spraying fermented extracts containing tannins and citronella (Formula Ncit) can increase fruit weight and reduce fruit flies attack.
