MOBILITAS SOSIAL ANTAR GENERASI PADA KELUARGA NELAYAN DI DESA SUNGSANG II KECAMATAN BANYUASIN II KABUPATEN BANYUASIN

- This research was social mobility among generation of fishing family in the Village Sungsang II Subdistrict Banyuasin II Regency Banyuasin. The problem in this research are about horizontal mobility and vertical fishing family in the Village Sungsang II Subdistrict Banyuasin II. The method of this research is qualitative descriptive. The source of datum was processed from primary data through observation and interview toward an object research meanwhile secondary data was oblained through documentation. The determination of informant was 6 people with 3 of fishing family informants in the Village Sungsang II with 3 of their children that have worked. The result of this research showed that horizontal mobility was happened in the form of job transition on fishing family child that have worked as seller and honorer teacher. Generation of children working as fishermen is also caused by parents because they follow the same livelihood as their own parents. Vertical mobility was happened at the income and education stage, but not all of them increased, there was also vertical mobility descreased. Vertical mobility was ascend that happened in the form of expansion land, the increase of income and educational background that over their parent. Vertical mobility was decrease that happened on the generation of child caused by their job was not increasing yet. Therefore in the Village Sungsang II Subdistrict Banyuasin II is got social mobility on the generation of fishing family child with the form of horizontal social mobility and vertical social mobility.
