- The study aims to determine students' activities and higher order thinking skills in implementing. The problem-based learning model using the HOTS question on SPLDV material using methods qualitative descriptive. The study was conducted in the class VIII 3 SMP Negeri 33 Palembang with five students as a research subject. The implementation of Learning is adjusted with the phases in the problem-based learning model. The data collection techniques in this research used observation sheets, tests, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the most dominant student activity was discussing with their group in planning a problem-solving strategy, listening to examples of problems given and solving problems in LKPD using problem solving strategies and the dominant higher-order thinking skills that appeared were analytical skills.
