  • Background. Information about the prevalence and risk factors for prediabetes which is mostly experienced by women in Indonesia has not been well-reported. Therefore, prevalence and risk factors study of prediabetes in women prospective Indonesian Hajj pilgrims in 2018 is needed to be able to give information to stakeholders for prediabetes promotion and prevention. Method. This study is an observational analytic research with cross sectional design. This research was conducted by accessing data from Siskohatkes sites which took place in October to November 2019, The samples in this study were data on women prospective Indonesia hajj pilgrims in 2018 who met inclusion criteria. Results. From the research, it was found 5037 samples. The prevalence in women prospective Indonesian hajj pilgrims who have prediabetes obtained as many as 863 people (17,13%) of 5037 women. Results of statistical test by using chi-square p value of 0.000 (p <0.05) for BMI, waist circumference, blood pressure, and triglycerides, as well as p 0.002 (p <0.05) for LDL. For resultvalues OR >1 for BMI, waist circumference, blood pressure, LDL, and triglycerides. At the age variable p value of 0.000, but for the value obtained OR values <1. Employment status p value 0.617 and p 0.742 HDL (p> 0.05). The results of the analysis obtained using logistic regression, the most related risk factors on the incidence of prediabetes are a category of triglyceride against with coefficient 0.597(OR=1.817,p-value=0.000). Conclusion. The prevalence prediabetes in women prospective Indonesian hajj pilgrims in 2018 amounted to 17,13% of 5037 women.
