  • The objectives of the study were to find out whether or not: (1) There was a significant difference of narrative reading comprehension of the tenth grade of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palembang between before and after they were taught by using Whole Brain Teaching and (2) There was a significant difference of narrative reading comprehension of the tenth grade of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palembang between those who were taught by using Whole Brain Teaching and those who were not. The results of Independent Samples t-Test showed that there was a significant difference of narrative reading comprehension between those who were taught by using Whole Brain Teaching and those who were not as the ρ-value (0.000) was lower than 0.05 which showed that the null hypothesis (Ho1) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha1) was accepted. The results of Paired Samples t-Test showed that There was a significant difference of narrative reading comprehension after they were taught by using Whole Brain Teaching since the ρ-value (0.000) was lower than 0.05 which indicated that the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted. In brief, Whole Brain Teaching is could improve the narrative reading comprehension of the tenth graders students of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palembang.
