  • Acute Respiratory Infection is an acute respiratory tract disease that includes upper and lower respiratory tract. Data in Prabumulih Barat Health Center, in 2017 incidence of ARI children aged 10-14 years reached 562 cases. This study aims to analyze risk factors with incidence of ARI in children aged 10-12 years in the working area of Prabumulih Barat Health Center. This research was a quantitative study with cross sectional design. Research location in the working area of Prabumulih Barat Health Center. The population was all households that have children aged 10-12 years. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. Data analysis used univariate, bivariate (Chi-square) and multivariate analysis. The results of bivariate analysis showed there was a relationship between wall type (p-value = 0.031), roof type (p-value = 0.006), humidity (p-value = 0.002), temperature (p-value = 0.029) and occupancy density (p-value = 0.018) with incidence of ARI. While there was no relationship between natural lighting (p-value = 0.776), floor type (p-value = 0.872) and ventilation area (p-value = 0.832) with incidence of ARI. The results of multivariate analysis that the most dominant variable was roof type after being controlled by variable ventilation area, wall type, temperature, humidity and occupancy density. It concluded, there was a relationship between wall type, roof type, humidity, temperature and occupancy density with incidence of ARI. The most dominant factor incidence of ARI was roof type. It was recommended for public to open windows every day to maintain a balance of air circulation and humidity to remain stable.
