  • The health of pregnant women is one of the problems in the health sector that occurs in Indonesia. Three main causes of maternal death are bleeding (30%), hypertension in pregnancy (25%), and infection (12%). Public health workers play an active role in implementing a reduction in risk factors for maternal death. The effort was also assisted by health cadres who came from the local community and volunteered to work in the health sector. It is this health cadre who is the key in the movement and management of efforts to reduce risk factors for maternal death at the community level.
