- Technological developments in industry 4.0 era made changes to the education system. The traditional education system was replaced with a modern education system that is using technology in the learning process. Smartphone, one of the technology, is not only used for communication tool, but also can be used as a supporting tool in learning a subject matter, one of them is Prism material. This development research aims to produce valid and practical teaching materials for 8th grade students problem-based learning. The research subject is android-based teaching material tested on students. The research design is the ADDIE development model with 3 stages of development including (1) analysis, (2) design, and (3) development. Data collection uses validation, observation and questionnaire sheets, the feasibility of teaching materials that is determined by material experts and media experts. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive methods. Based on the results of data analyzed can be concluded that this android-based teaching materials for problem based learning is declared valid and practical so that it can be used as a learning resource for 8th grade students.
