- PT. Satria Bahana Sarana is a mining contractor company that works in the mining location of PT. Bukit Asam Tbk with a mining business permit covering an area of 4500 Ha, which began operating in March 2015 with an operating area in West Banko. Overburden stripping activity in pit 1 North Banko Barat PTBA by ripping and blasting methods. The overburden stripping operation uses the ripping method to feed the material but there are certain types of material with hardness that cannot be worked productively by the ripper on the bulldozer in providing the material, so the blasting process is carried out to support the productivity of the digging and hauling tools. The calculation of overburden stripping consists of technical and economic aspects. Technical aspects include the calculation of productivity of komatsu D 375 A bulldozer digging equipment, komatsu PC 2000 excavator loading dug, and HD 785 dump truck hauling equipment using the ripping and blasting method, while the economic aspects include the cost of overburden stripping using the ripping and blasting method. The results of the analysis of the D 375 A komatsu bulldozer digging equipment, the komatsu PC 2000 excavator loading dug, and the HD 785 komatsu dump truck conveyance as follows: Technical aspects of productivity of the loading and unloading digging equipment and ripping method, namely the excavator loaded with komatsu PC 2000 excavator , 20 bcm / hour (1 unit) and HD 785 komatsu dump truck conveyance at 55.08 bcm / hour (1 unit) or 440.64 bcm / hour (8 units), while the komatsu PC 2000 excavator dump excavator blasting method 707.55 bcm / hour (1 unit) and HD 785 komatsu dump truck transport equipment at 61.56 bcm / hour (1 unit) or 492.48 bcm / hour (8 units). The economical aspect of the total cost of overburden ripping method (Rp. 25,353 / bcm) is more expensive than the total cost of overburden over method of blasting (Rp. 19,606 / bcm).
