The higher one's physical abilities, the more able to cope with the workload provided or in other words the higher their productivity abilities. The level of physical fitness is influenced by many factors, including lifestyle which includes food consumption, activity patterns and nutritional status. Another factor is anemia, a condition in which the level of hemoglobin in the blood is below the normal value. Hemoglobin acts as a transport of oxygen to circulate throughout the body. When hemoglobin levels in the blood are less certain, it will affect the body's oxygen supply, which eventually will make the body get tired quickly and of course the level of physical fitness will be reduced. This study aims to analyze the relationship of iron deficiency anemia with physical fitness in school age children in malaria endemic areas of Seluma Regency. Research method with cross-sectional design, a sample of 68 elementary school students who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria in Seluma District. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. Elementary school students undergo physical fitness tests with physical fitness test, examinations in the form of examining Hb levels, taking blood serum to be examined Fe and TIBC levels with Spectrophotometrics, measurement of nutritional status with BMI, history of malaria and helminthiasis with questionnaires. Analysis of logistic binary regression test data. The results was obtaine physical fitness of elementary school students is not good at 42,6%. There was a relationship between the incidence of iron deficiency anemia with the physical fitness status of students p-value = 0.003 <0.05 and OR = 6,34. There was a relationship between nutritional status and physical fitness status of students. p-value = 0.005> 0.05 and OR= 4,83 . There was a relationship between physical activity with the physical fitness status of students p-value = 0.005 < 0.05 and OR=5,02. Based on the results of binary logistic regression analysis the dominant variable that most influences the risk factors of physical fitness in elementary school students in Seluma district is the iron deficiency anemia variable with 0.004 < 0.05 nilai Exp B 6.639 (1.856-23.753). Students who have low phsycal activity have a higher risk of experiencing poor physical fitness. Keyword : anemia, phsycal fitness, student Literature : 75 (1997-2019)
