  • During pregnancy pregnant women can experience some discomfort complaints that can be caused by hormonal changes and physical changes associated with enlarged uterus. Complaints of discomfort such as pain in the waist, shoulders and legs are one of the symptoms of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Excessive physical activity can cause MSDs. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship of physical activity with MSDs in pregnant women at the Plaju Health Center in Palembang. This research uses a quantitative approach with cross sectional study design. 110 trimester II pregnant women were selected by purposive sampling technique. The results showed a significant relationship between physical activity (p-value = 0.033) and work (p-value = 0.015) on MSDs in pregnant women. Multivariate analysis results found that the factors that most influence MSDs in pregnant women are physical activity (PR 10,488) after being controlled by work (PR 8,464) and income (PR 3,634) as confounding.The results showed that pregnant women who have excessive physical activity, work and income <UMR can cause MSDs
