The purpose of this study was to find out and describe the language errors in the description text of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Indralaya. The method used in this study was descriptive method. The results of this study indicate that there are various language errors which include spelling errors, morphology, and syntax. The spelling errors include capital letter usage, base word writing, pronoun writing, prepositional writing, numbers and symbols, and the use of punctuation error. Morphological errors include affixation errors, repeated word-writing, and compound word writing errors. Syntactic errors include illogical sentences, ambiguous sentences, contamination of sentences, unclear sentences, and ineffective sentences.
