KITOSAN TERAMOBILISASI DAN APLIKASINYA UNTUK MENGADSORPSI Fe (III) DALAM AIR GAMBUT
Daftar Isi:
- Chitosan has been modified into immobilized chitosan contained chitosan powder, dimethil acetamide, N-methil pyrrolidone, lithium chloride and polyvinyl chloride. Immobilized chitosan was aimed to increase adsorption capacity than chitosan powder in adsorp Fe (III), adsorption was aplicated to adsorp Fe (III) in peat water. The parameters were concentration variations (5, 10, 15, 20, 25 ppm), interactions time (30, 60, 90, 120, 150, 180 minutes), pH variations (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) and desorption process with hydrochloric acid, sodium EDTA and water. Measurement of Fe (III) concentration used atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). Isotherm adsorption analysis was based on the Langmuir and Freundlich equation. The result of the research showed that the best adsorption capacity of Fe (III) adsorption occurred at concentrations 25 ppm, interaction time for 120 minutes, pH 3.05 with adsorption capacity 7.60 mg.g-1. Based on the adsorptioan isotherm analysis, Fe (III) adsorption suitable Freundlich isotherm equation with adsorption capacity 27.77 mg.g-1 and the dominates of interactions in adsorption Fe (III) process was physical adsorption by Van der Walls style. The characterization of immobilized chitosan using SEM-EDS indicated Fe has been tied is immobilized chitosan.
